Be BOLD about your faith!
A couple days ago my youth group had a game night. We had tons of fun! We played board games, Wii, Broom Ball…
Then one of the leaders felt led to share a gospel message. It was only five minutes long, but might have been the most important five minutes of some of the kids lives. After he was done, he asked us who the unsaved kids there could come and talk to if they want more information on how to accept Salvation. A couple people raised their hands right away, but most didn’t. Most were hesitant on whether they should raise their hand, or just keep their hands down and not have to feel “uncomfortable.”
That really disappoints me. I mean, I’ve known most of the kids for at least three or four years. Most of them have said they have accepted salvation. Some have even went out with the evangelism team. But only a few we’re bold enough to say “I’m willing to talk to you about Salvation.”
Let me put it this way. If you and your best friend were walking down the side of the street and all of a sudden your friend tripped into the path of an oncoming car, wouldn’t you do all you could to try and save them from being hit and most likely dieing? If your answer was no, then you need to go and tell your “best” friend that you don’t care about them and definitely don’t love them. If your answer was yes, then you should feel the same way about sharing the gospel with your friend. If you just stood their and watched your friend get hit by the car, its pretty much the same thing if you don’t tell your friend the message of Salvation. If your friend isn’t saved from being hit by the car they’re going to die physically, and if your friend isn’t “saved” then their going to die physically and spiritually.
So, the next time you see your friend(s) or are asked if someone can talk to you about being saved, don’t hesitate to tell them.
