Obeying God no matter what the consequences are…

A couple days ago, while I was doing my bible study, I read Acts 5:15-32. The passage talks about the apostles healing the sick and injured and then being thrown in jail becuase the Saducees were jealous of their ability to do miracles. When they were in jail an Angel of the Lord came and freed them from their shackles. The Angel then told them to “Go, stand and speak to the people in the temple the whole message of this Life.”

The lesson that I got out of this passage was to never give up and to spread the gospel message no matter what the consequences are. The apostles were out preaching and healing and they got thrown into prison, but God was with them during that time and came to their rescue. A lot of people would have given up after an experience like this but not the Apostles. They went back to the temple, to the very people who threw them in jail, and preached to them. My question for you is, do you have that kind of faith? What if they beat you and cut off your hands and feet? Would you still have enough faith to trust in God and go back to the people who did that to you and preach to them?
